Who we are
Looking for a smarter way for your child to reach higher-level football without giving up school, hobbies, or family time? Too often the only choices are all-consuming academies or casual programs that don’t push development. SOS Football changes that.
We deliver focused, small-group training that accelerates technical and tactical growth — without asking your family to rearrange life around football. Our sessions are engineered for players who want expert coaching and measurable progress, but not the burnout or single-track commitment of full-time academies.
What we offer:
High-impact, small-group training that maximizes touches, decision-making, and confidence.
Sessions that complement club coaching — sharpening weaknesses and expanding strengths.
A supportive environment that protects childhood: play, learn, grow, and still enjoy school, friends, and other passions.
Choose development that’s deliberate, not disruptive. At SOS Football, your child advances their game, keeps loving the sport, and stays fully part of a balanced life.

After his playing career, Sully quickly transitioned to coaching, serving as assistant coach for both Wellington Phoenix and Central Coast Mariners in the A-League, and head coach of Newcastle Jets W-League. He has also served as Technical Director of Youth for the Newcastle Jets and Central Coast Mariners academies.
Sully holds a Pro License and a Master of Education in Coaching. His coaching philosophy focuses on developing technical skills while fostering a love for the game and maintaining the mental and physical well-being of young players. With his extensive experience both on and off the field, Sully is a respected figure in football coaching and player development."
FINDING YOUR IKIGAI
The Ikigai Principle: Finding Balance in Football and Life
At the heart of our training philosophy is the Japanese concept of Ikigai, which is all about finding balance and purpose in life. We apply this principle to our football sessions, helping young players discover the sweet spot between:
What they are good at:
We focus on honing individual skills, decision-making, and understanding the game on a deeper level, helping each player grow in their strengths. What they love:
Football should always be fun. Our sessions are designed to ignite passion for the game, ensuring players love every minute they spend on the pitch. What the world needs:
Beyond just technical ability, the world needs players who can think, lead, and work well with others. We emphasize teamwork, small-group dynamics, and sportsmanship—qualities that serve players both on and off the field. What they can be rewarded for:
Whether it’s personal satisfaction, team success, or progression within the sport, our program provides players with the tools and opportunities to achieve real growth and feel rewarded for their hard work.
Through this balanced approach, we ensure that each player finds their Ikigai in football—discovering how to improve, enjoy the game, and grow as individuals in a way that enriches their lives beyond the sport.
